- Dropsuit "nerf" I like it, it makes the game less about gear and more about PLAYER skill which is GOOD cuz this is a FPS where smarts and player skill should matter most than just having better gear
The previous way dropsuits were was kinda ridiculous as higher end suits all started with higher HP values PLUS more equipment and module slots to FURTHER increase the gap between standard gear that was bad from a FPS standpoint imo
Now with all suits having base values ppl will still have higher HP values than lower end suits etc but its a slight advantage now and not a massive one. Now all that needs to be done is to lower the prices and make the respective dropsuit skills give some sort of passive bonus because im afraid that ppl wont see the point in grinding an 8x multiplier to only get a slight advantage
So idk Grid made a great post about bonuses to more skills
- AV nerf No matter how i look at this it just seems like a bad nerf/thing to wanna test tbqh Militia tanks are easy but well fitted standard and marauder tanks can be a real pain to take down, AV nades are all but useless on those, a coordinated forgegun effort was needed but now forge guns got nerfed so an even larger grp would be needed to take down well fitted standard/marauder tanks
CCP honestly u cant start trying to balance vehicles till caps and ewar is in place.....make tanking skillful, right now its too easy to be a tanker once u got a decent fit.
Webifier Mines that are coming is a nice touch but STILL no mention of capacitors? no mention of ewar? Needs to be in already tbqh...stop slackin
PS: CCP needs to have better communication with the community, being honest here but most ppl especially FPS mainly players dont hop on the IRC. I constantly see alot of discussions taking place on the IRC.....but these discussions are they taking into account ppl from the FPS PScommunity? If all ur ideas and input comes from the IRC then this is bad. No offense to ppl in the IRC but u honestly cant state ur opinion from a console standpoint without gettin flamed to hell 90% of the time which either makes ppl just not bother with IRC or u find ppl being more aggressive in their views and get banned. |

Tony Calif wrote:Sorry to disagree but the suit Nerf was just in time to waste my 1.7 mil SP I'd invested in advanced suits for the corp battles. Really, the way it's been done is terrible. I have no interest in spending 4 mil SP getting a prototype suit for a few extra mods. Type2 was already the suit of choice, now it's the only suit worth getting.
Oh, and they didn't feel like reducing vehicles health to militia vehicle standards. I get that they want to make things about player skill. But this is the wrong way to do it.
Not happy about this at all. Especially as they had battles regulated by suit type previously.
meh those things can be adjusted, ur acting like it cant im looking at making the game more skillful and less about who has the better gear has a huge advantage anyone who knows me knows i HATE ez mode ****. Reason ive been on standard suits only for the last 2 builds and still rippin faces while seeing all these full proto peeps runnin around thinking they are amazing.
More gunskill less about gear, thats a good thing + im am positive dropsuit skills will be givin out small bonuses to encourage peeps to keep training them and the multiplier can also be adjusted so not worried about simple stuff like that
Sorry to hear u invested so much into advanced suits but u should aim to challenge urself and not have the suit give u a big advantage. Thats just my opinion....im a competitive clan leader not a casual so seeing ppl get big advantages for doin nothing but grinding and seeing terrible players be made to look somewhat decent because of the big gear advantage was never my style hence i stuck standard.
AV **** was dumb, but all vehicles dont need to be lowered, we need more stuff to deal with them and to make tankin and piloting skillful. Caps and Ewar will help with that |

Also ppl seem to forget that EVE peeps will be able to fund DUST mercs.....now imagine a good player with no funding who using standard suits with 4 mod slots and having to go against an average/garbo player who can be funded by an EVE corp to run Proto gear indefinitely and proto suits starting with more base HP PLUS more cpu/pg to fit MORE upper tier gear and extenders and ppl tellin me that not ez mode?
the current high prices to the suits wont matter once ppl can start transferring ISK, 225K for a proto Logi is CHUMP CHANGE for an EVE player to fund.
ppl need to think of the bigger picture behind the suit nerf imo |

I know the stats are subject to change.... But really... Not a well balanced over all change in gameplay. It simply makes infantry less able to survive tank abuse. And yes I am bitter because I wasted 1.7 mil SP :P
meh not a big deal tbh suit bonuses will come so it will make still training ur suit skills worthwhile and tbh id still go proto assault over type-II, dunno bout advanced ill decide when i get there but it can take more hits in armor + more CPU and PG means higher end modules can be used
if the dmg nerf is staying for AV id like to see range on forge guns increase and ffs the AV nade seeking is smart but swarm seeking i swear sometimes makes me wonder
